SHARE prices finished on Tuesday at their highest level in nearly a decade, with all sectors advancing on expectations that faster economic growth will boost corporate earnings, dealers said.
At the close, the 30-company composite index was up 51.23 points or 1.7 percent at 3,070.29, its highest finish since April 3, 1997, when it settled at 3,104.77.
The broader all-share index jumped 31.96 points to 1,920.24.
There were 71 gainers and 32 losers, while 61 stocks were unchanged.
Turnover was 2.5 billion shares worth P4.4 billion.
